Sanjog charitable trust is a non profitable organization dedicated to the field of classical arts. Sanjog Bansuri Mahavidyalaya, an integral part of the trust, is an institute that trains students in different aspects of Indian classical music. The institute has been training many students in Flute, Vocal and Tabla for the last 15 years. Under the tutelage of Late Pt. Venkatesh Godkhindi, an eminent vocalist and flautist of India, many of our students are now performing in classical and light music concerts. World renowned flautist Pt. Pravin Godkhindi is now grooming many shishyas in the art of playing Bansuri and Vocal, while Kiran Godkhindi imparts training in the art of Tabla.
The Mahavidyalaya was inaugurated by Ustad Zakir Hussain in the year 2002. Sanjog has been organising many concerts and workshops round the year namely Guruvandana, Swarashradhanjali, Krishnadhwani and others. We aim to make our annual music festival, Dakshin Brindavan Sangeet Sammelan, a premier classical music and dance festival of Karnataka. Renowned musicians like Pt. Shivkumar Sharma, Pt. Hariprasad Chourasia, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Pt. Rajan Sajan Mishra, Ustad Shahid Parvez, Ustad Sultan Khan, Pt. Yogesh Samsi, Pt.Vijay Ghate, Vid. Kala Ramnath, Vid. Anoor Ananthkrishna Shrama, Pt. Venkatesh Kumar, Pt. Ravindra Yavagal, Pt. Vinayak Torvi, dance-duo Nirupama-Rajendra, Vid. Satyanarayana Raju, Pt. Rajendra Gangani and many young talented artistes have been featured in these music festivals. All the funds collected are utilized only for the benefit of the students and art lovers. Donations are exempted under 80G of Income Tax.
